The colourful kites are played in the open paddy fields ans along the sandy beaches with no trees or tall sructures in fact the wind blows strongly in these places. Normally the wau played after the paddy harvesting seasons or when the fisherman cannot go to fishing due the cobditons of the sea. The best time to play the wau is in August and September where moderate winds blows.



GASING

Gasing

Giant gasing or top weighs approximately 5kg and the wooden tops are as bis as the size of a dinner plate. Made out of hardwood its outer part covered with lead. To balance the top, its interior part are inserted with lead as well. It calls for strength, coordination and skill. The gasing if expertly hurled can spin fos as long as 2 hours.



TAPAK GAJAH
Tapak gajah

A pair of coconut shells piecing with robe will be used in this game. Each group will consist of 2 participants. The first participants will "wear" the coconut shell on foot and holding the robe in hand then walk to his group member. When reaches the destination, the shell will be given to the friend and the latter will do the same until group reaches the ending poin th first will be the winner.
